Being Grateful and Showing Appreciation

There are so many things in life which we can be grateful for.

In a place like Australia, we are presented with many small luxuries that others don’t always have. Being grateful for these things can significantly enrich your life. Acknowledging all the positives in the world will mean a better outlook. It also gives room to reflect on things, when life isn’t going so great. Gratitude allows you to focus on what you have, rather than what you don’t have. This is an important concept that I have learnt after nearly losing it all in a head-on car collision. I can definitely say my past experiences have given me a different view of life.

Being grateful helps you appreciate the things people do for you. It will also give you a greater sense of empathy to the different struggles that people go through on a regular basis. Being grateful will allow you to understand the value of people within your life and strengthen relationships between individuals.

Below is a list of simple things that I am grateful for in life. It doesn’t have to be flash. Sometimes it’s the small things in life that really help us remember how lucky we can be.
